Meritt Records, formally known as Affable Music LLC, is a record label based in the U.S. with talent in the U.S. and West Africa. The label is home to Liberian Afro-Beat artist F.E.J, Trapco star Punchie the Zombie, and Afro-Beat sensation Laj Bee.

Founded as a publishing house in 2015 for up-and-coming Liberian artists in the U.S., the label grew into a mega house of producers and songwriters and is now distributed globally by Symphonic Distributions.

With a desire for innovation and investment in the thriving Liberian music industry, the label has recently heavily focused its efforts on the West African market at large by finding new ways to rebuild and compete internationally while also creating a global presence in the digital market.

 

Still focused on artist development and promotion, Meritt Records is proud to introduce collaborative labels that share the same interests. In doing so, E-boy Music, founded by E-boy, was established. E-boy Music has made headway in captivating the world through a similar vision: a vision fostering innovation and bolstering the Liberian music industry.

 

As the label plans for a major expansion to West Africa, their roster now includes Liberia's trap star, Punchie The Zombie, Laj Bee, and Colors. Punchie the Zombie, who is based in Liberia, will be the label's first Liberian-based talent. The new expansion also promises a division soon to be open in Monrovia, Liberia and Accra, Ghana.
